Michael, did you send a second note?  I answered you back re Phil Starke, etc. did you receive that?, and then send another?  If so, I did not receive it.

Getting the values right is so important, but so hard to learn!  Before I use a photo, I always try to check it out in black & white first - and lately even turn it upside down on the computer screen - it's easier to see if there are interesting shapes & a good value structure that way, without getting distracted by "what it is."  Slowly, slowly, we're all learning together - there's so much to remember, it takes time for it all to sink in!
