11x14 acrylic. I did this little one this weekend. Any thoughts or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks everyone with the observations.  The issue with the wave on the bottom wasn't looking right to me either.  But looking at it with "your" eyes really made the problem stand out.  I'm going to rework it right now.  Thanks again.  Larry

Larry, nice painting.  It is the shape of the wave under the boat that is bothersome.  It is too symmetric and the lighter colors look strange because they seem to predominate on the right hand side of the shape.  I think that redesign of this shape will strengthen the painting considerably.  I hope this is not more confusing than helpful.  Stu

Larry,  Beautiful painting!!  .......I agree with Ann about the water under the boat. ............the rest of the ocean looks great!!

I like the way that the sail goes out of the painting and cuts across the triangle of the land The sail is believable and the figures also. The angle of the water at the bottom center of the painting bothers me, the color maybe too saturated as it takes away from the main focus itmoves into the painting and out again without taking the viewer into the painting.
