Oh Robin, it's an absolute honoured to accept your friendship.

I would like to thank you for your encouragement comments about my paintings. I would also like to let you know that your painting are exquisite. You are pro artist!

For example, if you would crop the picture of you in your studio, and shown only part of you and the painting behind you, without the easel and the shade on the wall, I would be convinced that the scenery behind you was the action outside your window in the moment when the photo was taken. Is so good as are the rest in your gallery.

So lovely to get your friend request Robin.  Your paintings are exquisite - I wouldn't like to pick one I like best because there are so many!  I just love the little South Island Robin and the story behind the painting.  I hope a good price was received at auction to help beautify Taihape - a place where my husband and I have both had family connections and visited many times when our children were young.

Oh blast, I had just written on your page and accidentally deleted it!  Your paintings are wonderful Robin, I wish I was half as talented as you!  We are living in Te Awamutu now, having been in the King Country for about 40years. I was thinking you must have had a very cold winter in Taihape, it's been cold enough here this year.  I meet Maria Woolrich at an exhibition in Te Kuiti last year, so nice to see her on here. :)

Hi Robin, gosh it seems a little while since I have written to you. How is your sister-in-law. Do hope she is handling life by herself a little easier now. It may take a little while. Do hope you are fit and well. Gosh, I did say we must catch up with each other, would still love to do that. I work on Thursday and Friday and any day or days between would be great. Would it suit you to catch up either 11 & 12 August or 18 & 19 August. I see Richard has got Workshop 34 up now so looking forward to doing that. I have been doing some painting projects and will be putting them up to view. Are you doing anything at the moment. look forward to hearing back from you.  :-) maria

Absolutely true!  I turned 75 yesterday and I am sooooooo busy all the time, for one reason I am so slow at  getting anything done or remember how to!  LOL ;-)

Robin I am absolutely delighted to accept your friendship!  Thank you very much for the invite, I appreciate it very much and you just made me smile after an exhausting few  days with real life, other than art.  :-)

That would be great Robin! Maybe we could have lunch together. Let me know next time you are coming down. My husband and I are flying to Dunedin this Thursday and back Tuesday but apart from that any day except Sunday would suit me.

Yes Robin, I have also been thinking it would be nice to meet up with you. If you are in Palmerston North sometime give me a ring on 3572276. I love your paintings and have been having a look at your website. Do you ever give art classes? I take classes with Vonnie Sterritt and really enjoy them.

Hi Robin, Thank you for being my friend.  You are right, we do live closer than most other members on this site. I agree - there aren't enough hours in the day to keep up with it all!  I'm always astounded and inspired by the number of beautiful paintings some of the members manage to do.

Hi Robin, nice to meet you here! I hope you are painting full steam ahead with the new Cobra colours? I had a look at your work, the paintings are very skillful, you must have a lot of patience. I paint quite small because of my impatience.... but I do want to practice the techniques of the seventeenth century Masters, so something (or rather someone) has to change...;-)

Thanks for the request, very glad to be one of your painting friends!  Your paintings are exquisite!  I noticed you said you may change to water soluble oils - I began with water colours, then tried acrylics & now use WSO's & I think they are a fantastic medium.

Hi Robin, was looking for a painting from this Workshop to view. Didn't see one. I know it would be fabulous had you painted it. Your work is so professional, you probably find this pretty elementary. Anyway, just stopping by to say hello and hope you are well and painting.

Hello Robin, thanks for kind words on my oils and site. I actually undertook web design when it first started (many aeons ago) and gave it up for my painting.  However, still undertake as an ever-changing field and I love it (keeps the mind active).  So, what with my painting, garden, sitedesign and everything else, it seems time no longer exists and, yes, am a bit of a recluse to go with it.  Great to have you as a friend!

Hi Robin, nice to meet you as another Robin with an "i". I am still navigating my way around this site and have yet to discover it all. I've finally worked out to reply! I look forward to meeting other artists and sharing our work and experiences here.
