Silke, you seem to really enjoy and this style of work, and you're good at it! I'm curious why you want to be painterly now? Do you feel pressure to do that or are you having fun and exploring? ; )
So well done Silke! Did you use only his 6 or so colors and have the slow dry medium? I was going to buy the ingredients to make the SDMed but the $$$ scared me off! Gezzzzz $100 Was this a setup from life or from a photo.........one he fixed for sale?
Yes, it really takes a lot of time, patience, discipline and work. The results are worth all of it. But I would like to achieve a more painterly style now.
The Carder method is a way to paint where you measure each and every point meticulously and match colors just as carefully. The results can (like this painting) be spectacular; but, it takes a great deal of work, precision and patience. You can look on you tube for the Carder method, he has several free videos.
I am wondering what the Carder method is too. Lovely
that white rose is gorgeous!
Beautiful!
Beautiful! What is the Carder method?
