Which medium do you prefer? eg. oils, acrylics, etc.

Are you a full time artist?
Part Time
Who are your favourite 2 artists?
Only 2? Some bloke in NZ called Richard, er something?
A couple of blokes in Australia, Dale Marsh, Mark Waller and a Russian, Anton Adamov, then Hans Heyson, Monet and Joaquín Sorolla and another Spanish painter Carlos De Haes.
Do you have any goals for your painting?
I started painting at age 69 after a lifetime of taking photos and saying, "I'll paint that one day", well I've started but have calculated that I'll have to live to 273 to do them all ....might need a smidgen of culling!
Hi Lyndon, Sorry for my late reply but it has been a very busy weekend! I grew up in Camp Hill and Mt Gravatt, so I'm from the south side. Funny how we quote sides of the river! But I know it has always been this way. :-). I hope your website goes well and happy painting!
Hi Lyndon, No problems - good to hear from you. I know what its like with websites etc. Once you get on the computer, time just disappears! Canungra is about 30 km from Wongawallan. We are much closer to Mt Tamborine which is not far from here. We are up on the high mountains to the west of the Gold Coast. What part of Brisbane are you from? I was born in Brisbane and have lived there most of my life.
Hello Lyndon, thank you for the like of my Iris painting. Apologies for the late response. I'm currently limited to w/c, but hope to get into oils at some point.
Thank you for your nice comment about that boat. It is the first time that I paint a boat. I will do a bigger one. This one is too small , some details could not be expressed well. Thank you also for letting me know why you stopped for a while. You convinced me. Good on you. Welcome back to have fun with us soon.
Thank you , Lyndon, for encourage me to improve. I have to keep on looking for the greies of the nature. Today, I finished a boat. It was late afternoon but the sky was still very bright. I tried to make it grey down a bit. Hope I did it better in terms of grey color in the background. I am also waiting for your new work soon.
Thank you , Lyndon, for your nice words about my job. My question is that after your masterpiece of the portrait you did not upload more your work. Every time I chech you I was frustrated as I could not see more of your work. A few month ago, I took some nice photos of sunset. But I did not know how to paint them. In workshop15 Richard taught me how to do it. I will try them to paint my own stuffs. You are such a good photographer and good painter too, please upload your work and let us share with you. Waiting for seeing your new work for next workshop. Merry Christmas to you! Li
